4 The choice of light colour is also important: while warm light with up to 3000 Kelvin has a pleasant, calming e ect on people, white and colder light makes objects appear sharper and more modern. However, the latter can also impair our sleep quality as it has a stimulating e ect. It is better to set accents with warm white atmospheric light. Whether emphasising the beauty of classic structures or adding a touch of elegance to modern buildings, the right lighting perfectly sets the scene for every detail. The lighting design should emphasise the architectural design character. It is therefore not a good idea to simply flood the façade with bright light. This robs building elements of their spatial e ect and causes unwanted light emissions. Rather, the aim is to illuminate building edges, columns, arches and other objects in a targeted manner without a ecting the immediate surroundings.
